This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Kinjo Learning, Inc., together with its affiliates, (“Kinjo Learning”, “Kinjo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you or your child interact with the Kinjo application, websites (,, emails, or any other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you understand that your (or your child’s) information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of the Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Services. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, DO NOT USE OR ACCESS THE SERVICES. BY USING OR ACCESSING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND THE TERMS OF SERVICE.

This Policy does not apply to websites or services of third-parties that you may access through Kinjo including Roblox and other providers of content and/or services. These websites or services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before accessing any third-party website or services or providing them with personal information.

Information We Collect

Consistent with our privacy philosophy, Kinjo only collects information from you and your child that is necessary to provide the Services or to comply with our legal obligations. Any information we collect from you or your child is only retained for as long as necessary to accomplish the purposes set forth below in the section titled How We Use Information We Collect.

Information We Collect Directly From You

When you create an account, you will be asked to provide certain personal information including your name, email address, and children’s names, and ages. If you connect your third party social networking or integrated services account, such as Facebook, Apple, or Google (“Integrated Service”) to Kinjo, we will collect information from this account (such as name and email address). Collection of this information from you is necessary to provide the Services and allow you to access and use Kinjo. You may revoke our access to your Integrated Service account at any time by updating the appropriate settings in the account preferences of your Integrated Service account.

Additionally, you may input information into Kinjo when you use the Services. Examples of this type of information may include: your mobile phone number and email addresses for others with whom you want to share Kinjo information, information about your child’s interests, strengths, and learning goals, and “to-dos” for you or others associated with their learning.

We also maintain records of customer service and other communications with users in order to provide you with the best possible service. If you contact customer service or provide feedback, we may retain your contact information and details about your communications with us.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you interact with the Services, we may automatically collect information about your use of the Services. For example, we may collect information about how often you log in into Kinjo, which features you use, and how long you spend in the application. We may also automatically collect information about your browser and/or device. This information may include: IP address, device identifiers and information, and location information. We may combine this automatically collected information with other information you provide.

Cookies & Other Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technologies to receive and store information about you or may employ third-parties to do so on our behalf. A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser from our web server and stored on your computer, then sent back to the server by your browser each time you access our website. The use of cookies is governed by the settings on your individual browser. You can disable cookies but doing so may impact the features that you are able to use. The information we collect automatically allows us to provide a seamless experience on Kinjo and gives us important insights into how you are accessing and using the Services so that we can improve our services and provide excellent customer support. 

Information We Collect From Roblox & Other Third-Parties

When you link your Kinjo account to your child’s Roblox account, we will collect information about your child’s game time directly from Roblox. All data collected is READ-ONLY and includes the following: username, display name, avatar, games played, friends, groups, favorites, and time spent. This information may include the following types of data: identification data (username, display name, avatar, etc.), status data (in a game, on the website, offline, etc.), and activity data (time in games, time played with friends, etc.).

This information is necessary to provide the Services. 

How We Use Information We Collect

Kinjo will never sell you or your child’s information or provide you or your child’s information to third-parties except as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth below. We may use your information for the following purposes:

Providing and Improving Our Services. To provide you with access to the Services; to provide you with customer service and support; personalize your experience using the Services; to match your data with data that we may collect from third-parties; to verify your identity or your child’s identity; to improve upon our products including adding new features and functionalities; to develop new products; to perform technical operations such as updating software; and to allow you to connect with other websites, services, or resources provided by third-parties.

Communications. To communicate with you, including via email or push notifications (depending on your settings), and to respond to your inquiries. These communications may include marketing communications from us about our products and services or the products and services of our business partners.

Referrals. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend or another guardian about us, we will ask you for their name and email address. We will use the information you provide to automatically send them a one-time email inviting them to visit our Services. We do not share the name and email address you provide with any third party.

Research and Analytics. To better understand how Kinjo users access and use the Services, and for other internal research and analytical purposes, such as to evaluate and improve the Services and to develop additional products, services, and features. This may include the use of cookies and other tracking technologies.

Service Providers. Our third-party vendors and subcontractors may access your information to provide services for us, including: payment processing, delivery of customer services, hosting and serving the Services, sending marketing communications, conducting research and analysis, and developing or improving the Services. These service providers can only use your information as specifically allowed by us. 

Protection of Rights. To protect our rights, interests, and property and the rights, property and safety of others, including to investigate or prevent suspected fraud or other unlawful activity.

Legal Compliance. To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including as part of a legal proceeding; to respond to a subpoena, warrant, court order, or other legal process; as part of a law enforcement or government investigation or request.

Business Operations. For the general administration of our business, accounting, recordkeeping, and legal functions. We may transfer your information in connection with a corporate change, including a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, or bankruptcy and due diligence or negotiations related to these events. 

Your Choices Regarding This Information

You have the right to request to review, change, correct, or delete the information in your user account. In limited circumstances, often due to legal or regulatory reasons, we may be unable to fulfill your request. In such circumstances, we will provide a reason for the denial of your request in a timely manner.

While we are able to delete information we have collected from third parties including Roblox, we are unable to change or correct this information. Data Storage & Retention

All information that we collect is persistently stored in the United States. At this time, the Services are only available to users located within the United States. Your information may be transferred to or stored on computers located outside of your state or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth above in the section titled How We Use Information We Collect. We typically keep information related to marketing activities for as long as you continue to accept marketing communications from us and, upon request, we will delete such data in accordance with applicable law.

When we collect sensitive information, we encrypt that information while in transit and at rest.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Despite our security measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that your information will not be subject to accidental or unauthorized loss, access, or use. Except as expressly required by applicable statute or regulation, we will have no liability for disclosure of information due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties during or after transmission.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the types of information we collect, how we use that information, or other changes to our information or business practices. We may also update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in applicable laws or regulations.
